Review : Elianto Mono Eyeshadow

Hi, girls! I'm back with new makeup review. I looked up at my keywords section and one of the keywords stated is Elianto Mono Eyeshadow review. I bought it on last January (you can check my January Haul; here) but since I didn't review anything about the eyeshadow yet, I'm thinking to do one. So here it is.

I have been wanted to add a few new eyeshadow for my collections so I ended up bought two of it from Elianto store. It's hard to choose which colour that I want and suitable for me because there are a lot of colour selections there. After swatched a few colours at the back of my hand, I picked up colour Cream and Caramel. Cream for the eyelids while Caramel I can use it for the outer corner of my eyes. It is perfect combinations and I promise you it will look pretty on the eyes.

If I'm not mistaken, Elianto has two types of eyeshadows. The first one is the one that I bought and the other one is kind of refill eyeshadow but still in a single form. That single kind of refill eyeshadow really reminds me of Savee but Savee is way cheaper than Elianto. It costs only RM 2 each and it is one of my favourite everyday eyeshadow.

 Pros

1. Affordable price.
2. Compact packaging.
3. Long-lasting
4. Waterproof

 Cons

1. Not pigmented (for some shades)
2. So much shimmer and glitter

The first thing that I must consider when buying something is the price. (Even it is pricey but I will buy it if it is a great product) I'm so glad that Elianto offers an affordable one. It is RM 9.90 each and I think everyone would afford to buy it, right? Next is their packaging. It comes with a compact case so it is more secure and not easily broken like the other one. Not to mention it is easy to carry around since it is in a small size, so you can throw it in your makeup bag without taking so much space. One thing that I noticed when I'm wearing this eyeshadow is, it is long-lasting. It stays on my lids for few hours with or without eye primer. I tried swatched it on my hand and let it under running water and guess what? It's still there and not fading or anything like that. So amazing!

The major no for me about this eyeshadow is the shimmer was so strong and a lot! The fact that it's still there even though I've washed it and I knew it is normal for any shimmer and glittery eyeshadow.

Overall it's a nice eyeshadow from Elianto. The pigmentation for both colours is different. The Caramel one is so nice and more pigmented than the Cream one. I don't know, maybe it because Cream is lighter and yellowish so it doesn't appear much on the lids.

I will give it  ★★★☆ because there's so much shimmer on the eyeshadow and not so pigmented like what I want it to be. Would I repurchase it again? Probably not, because I might not use it if I buy it again. But, I would like to try the other type of eyeshadow from Elianto which is kind of refill one. Hopefully, that one is better than this one.

Reread and Rewatched

Have you ever feel like you just want to reread or rewatched something that you already did?  I do. Sometimes I'm thinking that why would I still reread or rewatched something when I already knew about it. Perhaps the story line?

But then I realized that it is all about myself. I, myself chose to reread or rewatched again even though I already knew the whole thing. I love the feelings that come together with me whenever I reread or rewatched something. What I mean is, when there's a sad moment when I reread or rewatched something, the feelings that came along is still the same just like the first time!

Like right now, this happened when I decided to rewatch my favourite dramas and reread my favourite novels. I laugh, smile and even crying just like my first time. It feels so great. I like it. Really really like it cause I can still feel it even though it has been a while since the last time I did.

Have you ever experienced the same thing like I do?

My Makeup Wishlist

Every makeup lovers might have their own makeup wishlist. So do I. There's a lot of products that I have been eyeing to buy but still don't have them until now because of some reasons. First, it is so expensive. Second, I'm broke. Third, I don't have time and lazy to go out and buy them. Sounds crazy, right?

But, I'm pretty sure I will try my best to get them all since I had been wanting them for ages. It just either cepat atau lambat.

1. Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder

I heard a lot of good things about this mineral powder. I guess this product is one of the famous items by Innisfree. This mineral powder also perfect for someone who have oily skin (me) and it gives a nice finishing to the skin.

2. TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer

This one is holy grail product ever! People keep saying how great it is and I'm just staying at the corner of my room and thinking when will I have it. Sigh. It is so pricey, okay? I think I need to work harder to have this one.

3. Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base

Since it is a drugstore brand, I think it would be easy for me to get one, But, I'm wrong. The major problem is only certain Guardian carries Catrice in their stores. If I want to buy any Catrice products, I have to go to Guardian, KLCC to get them which I find the nearest one from my place. The best thing about Catrice is all their products are great and affordable. I like it.

4. The Original Beauty Blender

Did you know how expensive it is? But it's worth it since it does the job by blending the foundation really smoothly and nice. For the time being, let me just using a beauty sponge that I got from Daiso, okay?

5. Pink Makeup Brushes

It is pretty, right? Not to mention that it is pink! I want it so much! It will really really helps me whenever I do my makeup since there's a lot of brushes included in a set. It has face brushes, eyes brushes, lips brushes and more.

6. NYX Lip Cream

NYX Soft Matt Lip Creams Review, NYX Cosmetics, Nyx Amsterdam, Nyx Antwerp, Matte lips, matte lipsticks, Matte lip creams, Matte lipgloss, Beauty, Lipstick review, lipstick swatches, Beauty blog, Top Beauty Blog Of Pakistan, Beauty blog of Pakistan, Pakistani Beauty Blogger, red alice rao, redalicerao

I heard a lot of good reviews about this lip cream and I want to give it a try and feel it by myself. Looking to all the shades make me feel hard to choose. After a while thinking, I want to get Amsterdam and Stockholm for myself.

I think that's all my makeup wishlists as for now. Why there's no eyeshadow palette, mascaras, eyebrows products, blushes and so on? The answer is I don't have any specific favourites or wishlists regarding those so I will just randomly buy them if I like it. You know what I mean, right?

So, what's your makeup wishlists? Mind to share it with me? ;)

Review : Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

Hi, girls! I'm back with another review. As you seen in the title, I will be reviewing a product from Maybelline which is Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser. I bought this at the end of the year 2015 and it was the last one on the shelf. Perhaps this product is one of the most sold out items. I have been using these for a quite long time now and I think it is a perfect time for me to do a review about it.

Basically, this Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser is kind of face primer where its erase your visible pores and smooth out your skin so that you have a better makeup application afterwards.

Product Descriptions:

Baby Skin Pore Eraser enriched with cherry extract known for its antioxidant properties. Gel melts on the skin and instantly erases pores, imperfections, lines, and creases. Skin look instantly transformed into a perfectly smooth canvas.

Why you'll love it:

-Oil free
-Erases pores
-Lightweight
-Moisturizes skin
-Absorbs sebum to keep shine away
-Instant healthy, rosy glow
-Doesn't clog pores

For best results:

Apply all over the face or concerned areas like T-zone.

As you can see from the picture, it is a clear translucent gel that makes the application goes well and smoothes the skin.

Pros

1. Easy to use.
2. Affordable price.
3. Cute and nice packaging.
4. It does the job on erasing the pores on the skin.

Cons

Not long-lasting.

I love how easy it is when it comes to application. Squeeze some product out and apply it to your skin. The translucent gel makes it easier to blend or spread it to the skin. The price for this product also can be categorised as an affordable one. The retail price for this product is RM 29.90, where you can get it at drugstores like Watsons and Guardian. I give 10 points for the packaging. It's come with a cute and nice packaging, especially with the colour combination like mint green and pink. I like it. It is simple but still nice. Last but not least, I can say that this product does their job on erasing my pores. There's just one thing that I disappointed on. It is not long lasting enough to hold the product onto my skin. But overall it is a great product that I've used.

Would I repurchase this product again? Absolutely yes! It is one of the great items by Maybelline. You guys should give it a try too and feel the difference. It makes my life easier when it comes to makeup. My foundation or BB Cream doesn't clog my pores anymore whenever I used this.

I will give ★★★★☆ for this Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser.

Beauty Hacks using Baby Powder

1. Dry shampoo.

As for me, I'm not the person who shampoo my hair every single day. I usually did it once every two or three days. But, before the time is coming, my hair started to feel oily and itchy. So, what I did was put some powder on my root hair and shake the hair slowly with hands to remove it out. After doing that, I feel that my root is not oily anymore, in fact, the powder did give volume to my hair so it looks nicer than before.

2. Matte lipstick and long-lasting (2 in 1)

lips, makeup, and pink image

a) Make a matte lipstick.
Apply your lipstick like usual. After that take any powder that you have (pressed powder, loose powder or baby powder) and dab it on the top of your lips. Please note that the colour of your lipstick might change a bit.

b) Make your lipstick long lasting.
Doesn't you hate it when your lipstick keep faded throughout the day? Don't worry. I have a way to fix it. Apply your lipstick as usual. Take a piece of tissue. Each tissue has two-ply, right? WE just need one of it and put in on your lips. Take your powder and put it on the top of the tissue that you put earlier. Once you were done, apply your lipstick again for the second time as normal. You will notice that your lipstick stay longer than usual.

3. Full lashes like falsies

makeup, eyebrows, and beauty image

You have short lashes but still want them to look full and long? All you need apply a mascara to your lashes like usual. After it dries, apply a small amount of powder using a cotton bud or a brush or just your fingers to the lashes then apply mascara again for the second coat.

There's a lot of it but I just can list three since that's all I know. Haha. Some of you might already know about it, some might not. Regardless, these beauty hacks really helps you to solve your problems, right? Who wonders that the powder we use on a daily basis can be use more than applying it to the body?

Do you have any beauty hacks that you know? Share it in the comment section below. I would love to try it.

My Go-To Everyday Makeup Essentials

There will be the day that I'm not wearing any makeup just moisturizer and vaseline as my lip balm because those two are so important to me. If I'm not wearing them, my skin and lips conditions might be changing. So, for the day that I decided to wear makeup, this are the products or things that I usually put on my face. This is all the things that I put on my face if I want to go out. But if there are a special occasion, I will put more makeup on my face.

Let's get started.

Usually, I will make sure that my face has been washed and clean before I put any other products and makeup things on my face. Go check out my Skincare Routine if you're interested to know my skincare products that I use on my face to keep it fresh and clean. So when you're having a clean and fresh skin your makeup will turn out nicely and flawless.

First thing first, I always started with the base of my face. I use PIXY BB Cream because it is easy to apply since it is light and doesn't take much time to blend it out. All I do it just dab the BB Cream to my face and blend it using my beauty sponge nicely. After that is powder to set the BB Cream. The powder that I use is Pressed Powder from Colour Sense (Avon).

I'm done with the base now move to the eyebrows. There are only two products that I use for my brows. The first one is brow powder and I did use brow gel to set my brows so that it stay all day long. The brow powder that I use is from Lélan Vital (Cosway). I just apply the darkest powder to my brow especially at the end of my brows and then I use the brush that comes along to blend the product out. Next, I use a brow gel that I bought at Mr. DIY to set my brows.

Move to the eyes. If I feel like wanted to apply an eyeshadow base, then I will use it. But usually, I will not wear it. My eyeshadow base is from Essense. After I blend it out, I just apply the medium shade eyeshadow from Catrice palette to my eyelids. Not to forget mascara too. I have two mascara. One is waterproof and the other one is not. So for my everyday makeup, I will use the one that is not waterproof which is from Lélan Vital because it is easy to remove. Before I forgot, I did also apply eyeliner from Silkygirl in brown and wing it a bit.

Last but not least, lips. To make it look simple and natural, all I put on my lips is just a lip tint and lip balm. I do love Korean lip gradient and I did it with my lip tint. And then top it with lip balm to keep my lips hydrated.

Yeah, that's all for my go to everyday makeup essentials. Some of you might think that I put too much makeup on my face but trust me it not as much as you thought. Wearing makeup is something that I love to do. I will look more presentable and confident when I'm with makeup.

So, what's your go-to everyday makeup essentials?

My Makeup Story

First thing first, let's take a moment to thanks, Erin Azmir and Ee for tagging me to do this post. This kind of topic like makeup is one of the best topics to share or talk about, right? Who's on Earth who doesn't love makeup? I think everyone does. Even they are not, I bet they at least have lip balm and powder in their bag.

Without further due, let get started.

How old were you when you started wearing makeup?
I'm not quite sure the exact time I started wearing makeup. Probably during my early secondary school. I was so tempting to buy a compact powder and a lip balm back then. Not so long after that, I'm started to wear mascara, lipstick, and eyeliner. To be precise, the moment I'm more into makeup when I was 17 years old when I started to collect some makeup items like foundations, powder, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadows and more.

How did you get into makeup?
Since I'm the one and only daughter in the family so it must be from my Mom. I always looking at her every time she put makeup on her face. And I really really want to put it on my face too during that time. But as for now, it is more from Youtube since I love to watch makeup related videos on Youtube and learn from them.

What are some of your favourite brands?
Some of my favourite brands would be Maybelline, Catrice, and Bourjois. Silkygirl was not bad too. For me, any products that are good and affordable would always catch my heart to buy or own them.

What does makeup mean to you?
Makeup to me is an art. People might say that it's weird cause I named it as an art. But trust me, you can create an art just by doing makeup. E.g. You choose the colour that you want to put on your eyes, lips and everything. Once your makeup is done, don't you feel like you create something on your face just like you create something on paper or canvas?

If you could only wear four (4) products on your face, what would they be?
Those products would be BB Cream, Mascara, Brow powder, and lip tint. I will usually wear those when I feel like to wear a minimal makeup or whenever I'm running out of time. It is simple and saves time. By using those products I can also create a natural or no makeup, makeup look.

What is your favourite thing about makeup?
You can be whatever you want just by creating any makeup look. You can look sweet, daring, even natural just by makeup! Every single makeup looks that you create is a story.

What do you think of drugstore vs high-end makeup?
Both of them has their own specialities. Drugstore makeup is more affordable one but it doesn't mean it is not high quality. Same goes for high-end makeup. Some might be good some might not. Its all depend on our preferences.

What is the one makeup trend you've never understood?
Colour lashes. I found it weird to see someone with coloured lashes. Black, brown or even blue is acceptable. But the bright one? It just feels weird, at least for me.

I would like to tag Anys Nadhilah, Aynal Mansor and to everyone who interested to share their makeup story to others. Don't forget to leave the link here so that I can check it out later.

Hello, August!

Hi, guys. I'm back! I know I already mentioned it so many times but I still want to mention it again now. Sorry for not updating frequently. I will try my best to update and focus more on my blog in future, okay? These last few weeks was hard for me. There's a lot of things that I need to settle. Not to mention, I have to experience writer's block too. I feel so bad not to publish any 'proper' post on my blog. InsyaAllah everything will be back as normal if there's nothing coming up in my life.

July has passed and now August is coming. Time flies so fast and I just feel like we are still in early 2016. I got a good news to share with you guys. If you guys noticed, I did join a template giveaway from Erin Azmir. And guess what? I won! I'm so happy.

What do you think about it?

This new template really really make me feel excited to update more entries in future. For your info, I have been thinking to change my template since my 5th blog anniversary but decided to hold it up because I'm so busy (lazy) and to deal with all the HTML codes are taking some time. Besides, my old template was edited on 2015. Since I have a free time why not change it to the new one, right? So, that's the reason why you found my blog has been changed. I've decided to make it look just like my old one but with a slightly different. It took me one day to edit everything and I love it.

Thanks to Erin for this awesome template!

I guess that's all for now. More will be coming out really soon, okay? Stay tuned.

Have a nice day! Xoxo
